Hey Reader,
I've never met a relaxed woman.
I've met plenty of overworked women, stressed women, chronically busy, self-sacrificing, anxious...
Each of those identifiers calls to mind a woman, a time, a place. I wonder if it does for you too.
And I wonder what it would be like to feel relaxed, at ease, free -- to model this way of being for my young girls, to create a home environment where Mom is both ambitious and deeply present, to live in a community full of relaxed women.
I've never met a relaxed woman, so, I've decided to become one.
I've written it into my vision. I repeated it to myself with a deep belly breath. I am a relaxed woman. I've imagined what it would mean to fully embody this way of being.
I ran myself a bath and added a heavy scoop of salt. I read my smutty little book and felt my muscles melt -- at 1pm on a Tuesday.
I think it just might be the next evolution of my coaching too. What do you think? Would you sit with me, breathe a bit deeper, and explore what might change if you could unclench your jaw finally?
XO
Tamra

SOMATIC TIP FOR BUSINESS:
slow down to speed up
I imagine many of you have heard the tip above. It was a favorite during my days at lululemon when leaders would talk about people safety. *cringe*
I'm taking this phrase back and making it cool again.
For all my business girlies, I know Q4 gets squirrelly. There's a buzz to hit Q4 numbers, all hands that proclaim the rallying cry of "finish strong!", and endless talk of budgets and KPIs. I feel anxiety building in my own body just thinking about all the urgency that crescendos in the last months of the year.
What if we all slowed down instead? What would that look like for you? For your team?
Take a moment to sit with that idea.
Could it be possible?
Now of course, I've got a few reflection questions to help you put this into practice.
- Where might urgency be masking uncertainty, fear, or fatigue?
- What part of you might be asking for rest, reflection, or integration before pushing ahead?
- As you breathe into your body right now, what does alignment feel like?
Somatic tip for life:
– take the bath (on a Tuesday at noon)
How delicious.
A hot bath with a heavy pour of salt.
Oh, she's selfish, indulgent even. Wooweee.
(4 of your are unsubscribing right now, it's ok. I'm entering my relaxed woman era. This might not be for you anymore.)
And what if that moment of relaxation wasn't riddled with guilt?
My oh my. What if?
What if you chose to do what feels good?
How good are you willing to feel?
Take the bath. Read the smut. Savor the meal. Stand in the sunshine.
Do one thing just for you this week. Notice what that unlocks for you in your body.
