Hey Reader,
One of the thing I teach my clients is how to tap into their inner Knowing.
The whisper from your soul, the signs, the gut feeling...
It's always there, waiting to guide you along your path, but so many people have learned to smother it, to doubt it, to look externally rather than within.
It's a process--this returning home to yourself and trusting your intuition.
It requires you to deconstruct beliefs that aren't yours, values that no longer serve you, fears that have held you back or kept you playing safe.
It requires experimentation, quiet moments tuning in, bold and brave leaps forward, small and steady baby steps each day-- confidence built with each action taken towards your vision of what you really want for yourself.
Often clients tell me that those closest to them resist their vision. They don't see it. They advise caution. They question how that could possibly work out. The throw the "what if's" and basically poo poo on their parade.
I remind clients no one else will have your vision and trust it as fully as you do. That's why it's yours. You are the one who must hold to your vision.
Now, two things I see clients get wrong is not leaving room for the universe to surprise you -- that things just might come together in ways you didn't even imagine -- and letting go of the when. Your vision will often unfold in its own time. It's nice to have a plan with a finish line, and often, I have seen that we actually need to be a bit more flexible with timing. Hold your vision dearly with love, and loosely with an open hand.
Maybe it comes to life in three months, maybe it takes a bit longer.
I've been crafting a new vision ever since becoming a mom of two. It's been a slow and sometimes sleepy process. Full of certainty and uncertainty. And I've really relished this process. It's been gentle. It's been nourishing. It's been soul affirming to own that I simply want different things than I wanted four years ago.
And now, coming into the middle of October already, my vision seems to be falling right into place. With a little more trust, a little more leaning into the quiet whisper of my soul, I see pieces coming together one by one.
If you're curious what this process could look like in your own life, I'd love to guide you in returning home to you.
XO
Tamra

SOMATIC TIP FOR BUSINESS:
grounded optimism is a must for team vision
Crafting a team vision is a bit different than casting your personal vision rooted in your inner Knowing. Team vision requires buy-in, so let's break it down.
"Man, Q4 is looking BLEAK!" said the team lead at your weekly meeting.
And everyone felt inspired, motivated, and ready to finish the year strong.
Or not.
Because even if Q4 isn't shaping up to hit forecasted numbers, there's a better way to communicate the business reality to the team.
Cue: grounded optimism. A term I've coined from resilient leadership-- a trait essential to driving hope through vision and action.
Think of grounded optimism as a hope for the future that doesn't gloss over the hard stuff.
It's NOT toxic positivity. It doesn't ignore reality.
Optimistic leaders communicate with clarity + commitment + belief in people.
So I've got a challenge for you. Write our your vision for the business, your team, or your family for the next 6-12 months.
Emphasize: What we're building, why it matters, and how we'll get there.
Keep it simple. Refine your tone, focus, and clarity.
Ask yourself, "What makes this vision hopeful and realistic?"
Somatic tip for life:
– you have to feel the vision before you create it
Ok so maybe this life tip can actually support you in that work vision too.
Because I believe you have to feel your vision before you create it.
What does that even mean?
It's quite simple. Once you lay out the key focus of your vision--how ever many things you want or hope to accomplish in the next 6 months--you take a moment to consider how you will feel when you accomplish these things.
Joyful. Accomplished. Satisfied. Abundant. Rich. Connected.
There's no wrong feelings here.
Create your feeling list. Lay it side by side to your want or focus list.
Take a deep breath.
Close your eyes.
Imagine you are six months from today and you are doing the things you put on the focus list. Take your time. Notice the details. Let it play out like a movie in your mind.
And then call in the feelings. Allow yourself to revel in the experience.
This time of deep imagining or visualization practice tricks your brain into thinking you've actually done the thing! It's really quite powerful.
Give it a shot.
And if you really want this vision to come to life, try making this a daily practice. For 5-10 minutes each day, hold the vision.
See what happens.
